Wired or wireless microphones? What’s the difference for your event
Wired or Wireless, one sounds better than the other right?! Wrong, The difference with wired and wireless is down to how you want to use it.
Wired microphones offer the least interference and least chance of interruption to your audio, however it comes with the downside of dragging a wire with you! By this definition they are best when stationary, many microphones need to be powered but thankfully this is handled by the sound console via the cable therefore all that needs to be decided upon is the type of microphone.
Light Up Creative has years of experience of choosing the right microphone for the job and with a wide variety available, the right one can always be used, from Lectern microphones, to panel desk mics, studio recording microphones, instrument mics, drumkit mic sets & choir microphones, These all served well as wired microphones.
So why Wireless? Well, it gives you the freedom to move around! Whether your singer on stage, conference speaker and like to keep mobile when talking to your audience, are on a livestream and want a discreet microphone on you that is hard to see on camera, or maybe you want a roaming microphone through your audience, these are all useful in being wireless mics. The freedom of the cable does come at the cost of battery run time and potential interference, however with the professional equipment at Light Up Creative you can reduce these concerns with microphone that use professional radio frequency bandwidths carefully setup in every venue to ensure no interference and with the very same equipment we can keep an eye on your microphone’s battery level to ensure you stay live when you need to.
